Scientific Collectables does not store your debit or credit card details, these are only seen by Paypal, our card payment processor. Your card details are transmitted directly to Paypals' secure server which uses the latest encryption methods to process card transactions from the shopping cart, having the same high standard as Internet banking.

Please be aware that all card details are subject to a number of Paypal verification processes, this protects both you and us, reducing the opportunity for fraudulent transactions, but we do not see any personal data from these checks.
We reserve the right to refuse an order if there are any payment verification problems and any payment which has been collected will be refunded in this case.

Please note if paying by credit or debit card, we reserve the right to ship to the billing address, but can ship to an alternative address at our discretion.
Scientific Collectables is not registered for V.A.T, therefore none is included or charged.

In the unlikely event that two people purchase the same product before the stock control system has reflected the sold status of that item, then it will be sold to the earliest purchaser as determined by the transaction time, and all monies refunded to the second purchaser.

Most orders are normally shipped within 2 working days of your cleared payment. UK orders are shipped by either Royal Mail Special Delivery or Tracked 48, and transit times range from 1 to 3 working days. Overseas shipments are by Royal Mail International Tracked airmail or special Couriers, and can take between 5 to 12 working days subject to destination and customs clearance. Notification of dispatch will be emailed to you shortly after the order has been shipped.
Please note that the above transit times are guidelines, and subject to the performance of the relevant mail services which are outside of our control, and as such Scientific Collectables cannot accept any liability for consequential loss arising from any late or damaged shipments, however caused.
All goods are sent insured for loss in transit, but we do pack our parcels very well and have very rarely had to make any claims for any transit damage or loss.

In the unlikely event of any damage or loss during transit, Scientific Collectables will reimburse customers directly upon receipt of photographic evidence, including any obvious packaging damage.
Please retain all packaging until any claim has been concluded.

Important: We currently only ship to the following locations: USA, Canada, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Norway, Iceland, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Singapore, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

Customs duties.
Please note all goods shipped to the USA now have to be delivered with duty paid.
ALL other international customers should note that import duties, other taxes and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges for their destination. Such charges where levied are the buyer's responsibility, so please check with your country's customs office to determine what additional costs if any may be due, before making your purchase.

Your satisfaction is of paramount importance, if you are unhappy with any aspect of your purchase or if you change your mind, please contact Scientific Collectables within 14 days of receipt, and in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, you may return the item at your cost for a full refund, providing the item is received in 'as sent' condition.
However, should an item arrive damaged or faulty, Scientific Collectables will reimburse agreed return postage costs as well.
Please do not send goods back before contacting us first, and ensure that you use a signed for mailing service to return the item. Where possible, all original product packaging should be returned with the item.
Please note: For items with customisation options, including any product configurations or text inscriptions such as engravings, the product cannot be returned unless damaged or defective on arrival. Any items returned damaged or interfered with, will not be eligible for a refund.

Items sold by Scientific Collectables are mainly antique or vintage, and intended for collecting purposes. Any illness or injury sustained through handling and use or abuse of goods supplied, are entirely the purchaser's responsibility and at their sole risk.

Scientific Collectables shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim, liability, or damage of any kind arising out of, or related in any way to any errors in, or omissions in this web site and content.
Furthermore, any liability for losses you suffer arising from the purchase of the item shall be limited to the price paid for the item and is strictly limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable.
Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time of purchase.
