This is a fine condition Dollond 3 draw leather clad field telescope, which appears to have had relatively little use, retaining much of its non reflective bronze finish on the brass draw tubes that have a smooth, yet firm draw action.

This particular model is ideal for spotting, being optically sound with a 40mm diameter objective lens, producing a sharp clear image to a magnification of 25x.

The telescope is completely dent free, and has a leather covered main barrel with all stitching and seams intact, including the protective end caps. Engraved 'DOLLOND LONDON x 25' on the first draw, it measures 10¼" (260mm) closed 31¼" (795mm) open with sunshade extended, a quality telescope weighing just under 1kg and perfect for field pursuits.
